So I have officially been approved to fundraise for the World Race for about a month now! The excitement is still alive and the fire for this mission burns brighter than ever! I’ve gotten quite a few mixed responses towards me taking on this challenge which is completely understandable and expected. Family and friends are excited for me but not quite sure what they are investing into when they donate to my race fund. I want to use this post to make a few promises to my subscribers and prayer team. I also encourage you to keep up with me throughout the next couple years to watch these promises play out, both on the mission field and as I prepare for through fundraising.

I promise to you that every prayer you say for my team is seen as a valuable gift to us. I’ve spent the past month letting people know what the World Race is, and how I heard my calling. This has been done in pure hopes that my team will be on your mind and in your prayers as we prepare to travel and minister to people all across the world. Obviously, this is a huge opportunity for us as we gain the title “world racers” but I ask that you pray we will be humbled by the title. It is so easy for me to start talking about the World Race and to get big headed or feel a false sense of pride. I have to be reminded through daily scripture to humble myself. Fundraising has been the biggest lesson in humility so far. Which leads me to my next promise.

I promise to you that every dollar donated is nothing less than a valuable gift. Sometimes it is easy to see a dollar as just a dollar. I mean, I can go to a general store with a dollar and buy little to nothing. But when I’m given a dollar for my World Race, I see that someone cared enough to pay for 2 miles of my journey! That’s right! For every fifty cents donated, that pays for 1 mile of my traveling! One of my clever teammates did the math to find that out! So to those who feel like the gifts they give are too small because of  my large goal.. I say BULL HONKY! It will be put to good use and I’m so thankful for it!

Finally, I promise you will not find a team that will work as hard as mine. Now that might sound a little too much like Tim Tebow’s promise before he won the national championship, but nonetheless I hold it as truth. We are more than willing to sweat, bleed, cry, and sacrifice our pride for this mission. This willingness of hard work has been instilled in us by God through His awesome grace. I won’t tell you that we are such awesome hard workers, but I can tell you what God has done in my team so far. He has blessed us with a fire that will help us tackle this fundraising goal, but more than that it will energize and sustain us through the tough times on and off the mission field. It’s the same fire that God instilled in David before he put the smack down on Goliath. It’s the same fire that God instilled in Noah when he built the mighty ark. These guys were unworthy in comparison to the huge task they faced but had the game changing Holy Spirit on their side. That same Holy Spirit is working in our team. I confirm this because I see my team non-stop praying for and encouraging one another in our message group. It’s an unnatural commitment to one another that God has blessed us with, and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon.

I invite you to invest in and witness the awesome things God will be doing through our World Race Team. Please subscribe to my blog so you can see the awesome things we will accomplish through God’s awesome grace. Thank you!
