“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters where ever you are calling
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith would be made stronger, in the presence of my Savior.”
I feel if I would have to describe my squads heart it would be with this verse of the song right here. So many of us are so different, but yet have one desire and joy to know the Father more. To walk with Him and hear His voice to wherever He calls us to go.
And it is not easy because some of us are carrying some pretty heavy baggage and do not know what it means to just give it to our Papa. While others are being called in faith to take an extra step or to go the extra mile, and grow in boldness, understanding, and wisdom.
But listening to my squad’s heart, it is such a beautiful heart:
-
Some are the prayer warriors, who are going to see powerful things and be a huge part of seeing God’s Kingdom move.
-
Some are the quiet warriors who are the listeners of the broken hearts, the confused mind, and hurting/ rejoicing spirits.
-
And some are encourager’s to speak truth and life to the team and the people we come into contact with in the different countries.
-
Some of us are the challengers to sharpen and refine our faith and the faith of those around us.
-
Some are the Leader’s to be not the pointers of where to go, but to come alongside and walk on the journey with those they lead with love and boldness.
-
And some are the life of the team, that adds joy that words can not even be used to express with.
Hearts that at the moment, that some do not understand fully what it means to prayer this prayer:
“Lead me to where my trust is without borders. Let me walk wherever you are calling…that my faith would be made stronger, in the presence of my savior.”
What a bold prayer to ask for!
Then there is my team: BROKEN CHAINS
Which consists of all women, who if I had to describe them in would be fire- starters.
Colleen: who is our prayer warrior, who is so love with Jesus that people can not help, but feel the love of Jesus when they come in contact with her.
Melissa: A woman with experience working in different ministries from past mission trips, and working with people that gives a better understanding of group dynamic which will be a huge help as a mediator among this team of all ladies.
Danielle: A beautiful heart full of love and emotion, with a group of tough girls she adds the meekness that will challenge each one of us to soften our hearts and delight in our Papa.
Lyndsay: An exuberant joy that looks not just the big picture, but the little things that make it up. Someone who is able to see the good in things, that some of us might overlook.
Katie: Powerful words that speak boldness and allow us to take a step back and be challenge, grow, and think for ourselves and go deeper in what we really believe and fight for. She is someone that is perfect example of iron sharpens iron.
Gloriel: Then this one, who will not allow our team for a moment have a dull moment. Being the craziness of the group, which adds life to not just our team, but to the people around us.
Together we are going to love people, challenge one another, and grow in ways that we never thought possible. And praise be His name that we are free in Christ, and had our chains broken, and I am excited to see what the Lord has in stored for our squad, and also our team!
