What’s up friends and family!

I can’t believe I’m a the final stretch of the race. Feels like I was just heading to launch in Georgia just a few days ago! They don’t lie when they say this time goes by so quickly.

Let me give you a quick life update!

  • I’m in Costa Rica! My squad is at an AIM base here in San Jose and it’s scary-similar to the States.
  • My team and I are working with a ministry in the city where we spend time with women and children. Highly relational. Teaching and working alongside the women. Goofing around and playing games with the kiddos!
  • I just turned 21 last week! My teammates went above and beyond to make my birthday so special, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!!!

It’s a blessing that Costa Rica is my last country before heading to the States. It’s the most developed country I’ve been to during these 9 months, and it’s giving me a taste of what life back in California will be. You wouldn’t believe how shocked I was to see all of the US chains here. Walmart, PF Changs, Forever 21, Denny’s. People on the bus actually started to cry. The culture shock kicked in early and hopefully it will be under control by the time we head home to even more stores and malls and freeways.

Keep me and my squad in your prayers during our last month in Costa Rica. I think God has big plans for this place, especially the community around the AIM base. So let’s fight for this area and ask the Lord to keep bringing people and keep raising up locals who have a heart for him!
