Deliberations are finished.

Perhaps you are like me, and you think many steps ahead. When you make a choice you have weighed all pros, all cons, and the organization of decision making has led into subcategories and applications that reach far into the future. At some point, speculation begins, and then paralysis ensues.

Here, in my life, I find myself standing at the gate to a new world, and my heart is afraid. Fear grips me in circumstances with unknown outcomes, like jumping into cold water. This is where my dumbfounded face judges the cost of that burst across the senses and braces itself, because I don’t know what will come, but I know it will be hard and uncomfortable.

Stay, work, make a living, move on professionally, find a girl, settle down, impact where you grew up and put down roots or go, be a part of an adventure, invest in something outside myself, outside my home, earn some grit, give up comfort and trust in God.

What is it that brings me composure? What is it that helps me decide, and allows me to dive, to enter, to begin?

Christ’s call on my life is where I derive consolation. It is clear that Christ has called me to follow Him in obedience.

As Oswald Chambers easily summarizes, “Loyalty to to Jesus means I have to step out where I do not see anything; loyalty to my notions means that I clear the ground first by my intelligence.”

Obedience to an all-powerful, all-knowing, and loving God is the most important reason to do anything.

I’ve made my decision. After vacillating, looking at the waters for months, I have committed my efforts to a Christian missions trip known as The World Race.

The World Race is a missions trip that spans 11 different countries around the world in 11 months. We will work and travel in teams serving and partnering with churches and ministries in local communities. We will share the gospel, plant churches, offer our hands in construction projects, and minister to local orphanages, as well as women and children trapped in prostitution and sex trafficking. Our goal is to bring restoration and hope to all nations through the Father’s love.

Please help me reach the people of Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam by joining my support team.

Financially, I need support to reach these people,

and

Spiritually, I need support through prayer.

If you are able to aid me in either of these ways please give or pray.
