Deadlines are looming…………..time is running short with family………..tensions are running high……………we have a million things to do………………….So this is what we do!!
We Fast and We Pray!
Yes, for many people they call us crazy for just stopping and doing this. Why stop and pray? Why fast? Well it is simple, we do it because of 2 simple reasons. One, scriptures tells us to pray and fast. We communicate with God and let Him know our struggles and petitions. Two, we know that we CAN’T overcome everything that is going on in our lives without Christ. So we pray and fast, putting everything into Christ’s hands knowing He CAN overcome all the obstacles that are in our way.
My fellow members of D Squad and I have taken the initiative to Fast and Pray on this day. Everyone is participating in whatever fashion they can. Regardless of when they can or what time, all day our voices will be raised and we will be lifting up prayers and praises to God, and we are expectant that God will answer us!
As we look to tomorrow to begin this day of prayer and fasting, I encourage each reader to join in. Take time to pray today for this team. Fast from a meal and dive in to the word and see what God reveals to you. We have many prayers to be lifted up: We got teammates still short of deadlines, struggles in our homes, and Satan just trying to weasel his way into our lives any chance he gets. Be in prayer over me and over my squad. You can pass the word to any and everyone you know about our team. Pass this story and encourage them to pray.
