My team and I are almost one week out from the start of our training camp. This will be the first time all of us will be together. We are travelling in from different areas of the U.S. and even some from other places. This will be a tremendous time of laughter, fun, enjoyment, and more. We will get to know each other on some very deep levels and prepare ourselves to be living in community with one another for the next year. Training camp will also be very difficult and challenging. We will be put to the test with some guaranteed training that will stretch us to our limits. I know that together, through Christ, we will overcome any of the obstacles that training camp throws at us. We will be tuned-up to leave in July and begin working on the mission field.

Every member of my team has different situations they bring to training camp: sick friends or family, financial problems, or other critical issues. My hope and prayer is that these hindrances become foundational pieces to help our team grow into a fine group of missionaries in Christ.

I have a simple task for any and everyone who reads this blog…..PRAY…Pray for all of us who will be undertaking this tremendous calling over the next year. Pray we influence our world for Christ and that Christ opens our eyes to the world around us that is in need of a great hope. Pray for us as we boldly go to places we have never been, to meet people we have never talked to, and shape their lives around who Christ is. Pray for each member of my team as they continue to raise support for this trip. The burden may seem large, but pray we stay focused on Christ, who provides for us everything we will need.

Be ready for some intense blogs, life-changing stories, and more. I appreciate everyone who will follow along in the journey and this my friends is guaranteed…..There will be something different about my teammates and I when we return. We will be shaped and molded into what God wants us to be.

Be Ready! Some more great stuff is coming soon.
