Week ten.
Having a child blow his nose in my shirt
Being invited to dance at a Cambodian wedding celebration
My second time in a foreign prison
The moments that reminded me I'm on the world race…
Taking a "boat" across the river to visit an island village.
And the being welcomed into a family's life
just because we asked if we could sit and talk for a while
I want more of these moments when I get home…
Racing home after an afternoon of real conversation
Dodging the raindrops on a bicycle moments
Laughing and praying all the while
Moments memories are made of…
Continued joy of being called, "teacher teacher"
The look on a student's face when they really get it
Learning alongside each eager student of mine,
because who really needs to know the word bequeath anyway?
The moments where I truly feel alive…
Hiding away with a book and my thoughts
Treating myself to an above world race budget coffee
Praying prayers for those I love, an ocean away
Moments of grateful weariness because I have a family worth missing…
And of course…
A War Eagle moment!
