Moments, like people, always leave something.
Leave you wanting for more,
leave you speechless,
leave you full of questions or wonder or gratitude.

Week fourteen moments left a feeling.
A feeling of anticipation,
something good is going to happen,
these people are going to mean something to us.

People welcoming us into their lives.
Sharing coffee, stories, ideas-
telling their own moments of greatness.

Children in their own right.
Without the need for me to brush their hair,
or their teeth, or sing in the rain with them.
Children who instead allow me to listen.
who know what TED talks are… bonus

New friends with pasts and futures.
Whose journeys happened to cross path with ours,
a momentary happenstance,
leaving me
wanting for one more moment,
desiring one more conversation,
thinking of one more question to ask.

These moments are lifelong moments.
The laughter shared, the street food eaten,
the passport stamps compared.

Week fourteen moments were a beginning and changing of everything.
