This weeks moments are mostly blurred together. They were moments of sleep still in our eyes as we fumbled through train stations, airports, and bus stations. But, between these sleepy moments there was greatness. Greatness that were it not for the pictures, I would dismiss as dreams.
Moments of being reunited with college friends for one teammate + the world race buddy rule meant I was shown favor, more chocolate than I've seen all race, and an invitation to a traditional Chinese tea house.
Then, moments of compete wonder at the Great Wall. I stood wonderstruck, never in my life did I expect to find myself standing where I stood. Surrounded by mountains I've only seen in nat geo magazines how could I help but sing God's praises?
Travel from China was filled with excitement. Only momentary grieving at the reality we no longer have eleven months of this adventure ahead of us, and the usual tears you shed at the end of a season no matter how short. But, expectancy filled my heart.
Thailand brought humid moments of barefoot hospitality. Moments of rejoicing in the streets at the availability of affordable fruit. Followed by sobering moments of what ministry will look like this month.
Your prayers for the moments of this month are cherished.
