What God is teaching me as a leader:

The way we are to live as followers and leaders of Christ…

encourage & push people back into the spirit when they are in their flesh (Galatians 6) that’s all! not hard!

Are you a peaceKEEPER or a peaceMAKER?

peacekeeper keeps peace in all situations; doesn’t stand up for what is right b/c they are wasting too much freakin’ time trying to keep peace, when the truth needs to be proclaimed and beaten into us!

peacemakermakes peace; fears God above man. cares more about the well being of an individual than anything else; makes peace regardless of the cost to them; the gain far outweighs the cost b/c the truth needs to be revealed!

“Submit to one another out of reverance for Christ.” (Ephesians 5:21)

“Encourage and rebuke with all authority.” (Ephesians 2:15)

– Notice how ‘encourage’ is stated first…
– You have been given ALL authority from Christ. You hold that. You carry that. You are now responsible and will be held accountable for the sins of others when God shows them to you.

Pray for boldness and confidence!

“If someone is caught in sin, you who are spiritual must restore him gently.” (Galatians 6:1) “…carry each other’s burdens.”

– However… “each one should carry his own load.”

We are called to restore our brothers and sisters. It is not an option. It is a must. However, in that, you are not responsible for their load. You are responsible for their well-being. Start pushing them!

You should be more concerned for the individual’s (friend, family, husband, wife, etc.) well-being more than your relationship/friendship with them.

It’s all about GOD, not us!

Get out of your own selfish world and start living in God’s!

We need to stop being pansies and cowards and start doing what God calls us to do!

Start acting in OBEDIENCE and not driven by fear!

If for just one second we understood this – if for one second we saw a glimpse of our Father’s face… this would be a piece of cake. The question now becomes: Am I really truly madly IN love with my God?

Remember…

“You are slaves to the one whom you obey.” (Romans 6:16)

Who are you obeying right now? If God has called you to do something and you have yet to do it, you sure as heck aren’t obeying Him now are you?

Stop focusing on yourself. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves of RIGHTEOUSNESS! (Romans 6:18)

START WALKING IN IT! What are you waiting for??

Praise God that He allows us to mess up and praise Him that He continues to call us! He never stops pursuing us!

I’d say we have a pretty important job/purpose here on earth if God continues to pursue, love and call us when He clearly knows we are a mess. We are screw-ups. We sin daily. However, His plan is far greater than we will ever know or comprehend, so we need to stop trying to figure it all out, get out of His way and act out of nothing BUT obedience!
