The team I call FAMILY!

I
feel as though I have done a poor job of sharing my team with you. I truly
consider this team of 8 girls my family. We are in covenant with each other
this year. We are married. We share everything and God placed us with each
other to share in this 11 month journey together for a specific reason. It is
so exciting to see my girls grow in their gifts and to watch God shape and mold
each one of them. This year has been amazing! I should have done this months
ago, but I really want you to see these beautiful girls for who they are, so
here is some stuff I want to share with you about them:

Tonya
(our
original team leader who is now our squad leader who oversees all 52 of us)

Tonya
is extremely faithful and has a lot of wisdom to share. She has a story for
every topic that comes up and has a genuine love and faith about her. She
taught me how to shuffle cards this past month! I enjoy the card games and
random fun times we share together. We are also both speed walkers so we would
always lead the crew up the mountain and have great conversations along the way.
She loves cats and God has given her cats in every country thus far. It’s
pretty sweet.

 

Kim
(our
2^nd team leader who I just took the place of)

Kim
has such strong unique qualities. She is a huge prayer warrior/intercessor on
our team. She is artistic and expresses herself in amazing ways. She loves to
paint. She is very talented and always seeks God on a new and deeper level. She
is always trying to find joy in every situation. She and I are the babies on
the team. She is 1 week older than me. We love to joke around with the “elders”
on our team telling them we don’t recall the music and tv shows they grew up
watching b/c we weren’t even born yet, lol. We love being the babies in the
fam!

 

She
radiates with joy and laughter. Becca is a big kid and loves children. She has
such compassion for the people she meets, especially the children. She goes out
of her way to make you smile and feel like a princess. I feel completely 100%
myself around her. She brings out my silly, goofy, crazy side and also my
singing side! I love to sing and dance with her. She brings out the best in me
– so much joy!

 

She
brings such a peace to our family. I love to dance with her. We share the same
interest in music and love for dancing! She is such a joy to be around and
likes to crack jokes. She is so obedient to what God asks of her and has
amazing willpower. She loves LOVE and God is always revealing new things to
her. It is amazing to watch Him sift, refine and shape her on a daily basis.

 

She
was born in Hawaii and never lived there. I was not born in Hawaii but now live
there. We are complete opposites. Anything I like, she doesn’t and vice versa.
It is quite hilarious actually. We became friends at training camp last October
and she was added to our team a few months ago – such a blessing! She is
beautiful and is so obedient to God. Her strength and willpower is incredible.
It is extremely inspiring to me. It helps encourage me and pushes me as well. She
also has a servant’s heart like no other. She is very carefree and loves to
dance. She’s amazing! Looking at her just reminds me of all my friends back in
Hawaii. I still have a piece of Hawaii traveling the world with me this year.
It’s great!

 

Jenni

She
has the gift of encouragement and carries a joy about her that is contagious.
She has such a servant’s heart and is always willing to step in and help out
whenever it is needed. She is never afraid to tell us how she is feeling. She
is very open and honest. She is quick to forgive and spends all of her down
time reading her bible, writing in her journal or listening to her ipod. She is
always hanging out with God. It is awesome and very encouraging!
