No Sweeter Name

Every night on our way to the bars, I listen to the same 2 songs on my ipod. I am posting some of the lyrics to one of the songs on this blog. As we walk down the dark streets every night, we pray for the men and women who frequent the bars. We pray for their freedom. We pray for redemption. We pray for light. There are over 250 bars and over 1,500 women working in the bars. There are open bars and closed bars. On Bangla Road, there are 7 streets (Soi Tiger, Soi Lion, Soi Crocodile, Soi Eric, Soi Gonzo, Soi SeaDragon and Soi Easy) in which there are many bars back to back with men and women everywhere. We go up and down each of these streets every night. There is evil all around, but in the midst of the darkness is a great LIGHT. His name is JESUS CHRIST. Praise God that He called us 7 women (Jenni, Tonya, Kim, Rebecca, Renee, Erica and myself) to leave our homes, leave our families, leave everything behind and come to Thailand..to Patong..during this very month..the month of May…to build relationships and to minister to the men and women who work these streets. May we continue to be His hands and feet and may His mighty works be done!
