Aloha everyone!! I don’t know if you all read my latest blog about reaching out in my community and feeling really called to the homeless…well i have been giving them extra donuts from my krispy kreme fundraisers b/c ive had a lot of leftovers from my last few fundraisers. so when i was discouraged that my donuts didnt sell [which meant less money raised for my trip] god led me to the homeless and allowed me to GIVE my donuts away to those in need. he completely turned this “dilemma” of mine into an outreach!! granted i may not have received as much money for my mission trip, but helping those in need in my own town is worth more than any money as far as im concerned.
well it’s kind of funny b/c the other night i was journaling about how awesome god is and how he is moving in my town. he has been working so much on my heart and so much to the point that im just waiting for satan to attack b/c i know satan is hating what god is doing in and through me right now. and sure enough..satan attacked me hard this morning. and im really struggling right now, but I refuse to let satan win and I WILL STAND FIRM.
here’s what happened:
the university on oahu [a dif island than me] was supposed to have a krispy kreme donut fundraiser for me today. well needless to say, 150 dozen donuts got shipped to the wrong island. they got shipped to my island instead of oahu. so i am currently at work and school all day helpless..with 150 dozen donuts sitting at the airport waiting to be picked up and somehow miraculously sold.
i have had 3 krispy kreme fundraisers in the past few months..and each time i have had LEFTOVER donuts, so i am extremely discouraged and disappointed b/c i dont know HOW im going to sell these donuts out of the blue with no warning or preparation or location to sell them at.
if they dont sell i will be out $800 b/c that’s how much it cost me to buy them and have them shipped out to hawaii. so PLEASE please pray that somehow these donuts will sell today or tomorrow. they dont last very long b/c they start to melt in the heat and stuff so time is NOT on my side.
i know god will somehow provide and will work through this situation so that in turn this disaster will be turned into his glory. b/c just like he worked out my extra donut dilemma on the past few fundraisers, i know he will use this dilemma in mighty ways as well. [i cant wait to look back on this situation and praise god for the work he did through this].
just please please keep this all in prayer. i am only one person and can only do so much (and not very much w/being stuck at work helpless all day) but i believe in the power of prayer, even if you are a million miles away and prayer is all you can do..that’s all i ask for.
