my thoughts are all over the place right now so this will be short, just wanted to let you guys know…

I’M LOVING HAITI!!!!

Team Transformers has been working on building transitional homes for the local families here from the church who are still living in tent city since the earthquake. These transition homes are basically the same thing… only wood frames instead of trees, but still tarp covers. The tarps and supplies are all donated from “Samaritans Purse” which is kinda neat. Gloria, our contacts helper says she believes these families will be in these homes way longer than meant to be however because there are still so many people homeless.

They are working us hard. I’m exhausted already ha but it’s totally worth it and so enjoyable. We get up early to beat the heat around 5:30AM, build 3-5 homes in the morning, go back to the orphanage to eat lunch, take a siesta, play with the kidos annnnd then back to building more houses until around 4-5ish. Then the best part of the day is jumping in the ocean once we get back home!!!

There is still so much devastation and rubble everywhere. I mean everywhere. there are practically no roads, more crumbled buildings than standing and people are still out on the streets at midnight selling things. The Haitians are so eager for us to be here to help them and I see them working hard to rebuild their country too.

I’ve only been here 4 days and I already feel God placing so much love on my heart for the people, I know God has called me to Haiti for a reason. I’m stoked to see what God has in store for us the rest of the month :]

OH and we can’t upload any pics or videos this month… bummer. but I will be able to once we get to Ireland next month!!
