Holas!!! I’m so happy to finally be getting to write an official blog for you guys from out on the field! sooo once the whole P squad, all 76 of us, was in Santo Domingo we stayed at a Catholic compound type thingy for 5 days, where we had Launch. It was an awesome time to get to know everyone more and just spend time ministering to each other. I can truly say so far I have LOVED living in community so far. being surrounded by Christ like attitudes every second of the day it is just so freeing. I miss living with girls too!

I’m the financial leader for my team so I got trained on that and so far it has been going great. Not something I thought I would be good at ha, but I’m excited to see how God grows me in this area.
The weather here is just like Texas pretty much, hot and humid and random pour downs of rain every now and then. only in Texas we have air conditioning ha… I’ve been gone out on the field only 7 days and only “showered” 3 times. it’s awesome!!! I use quotes because its more of a bucket sponge bath. may not seem too bad, but again like I said it’s humid and I’m sweaty 24/7.
The last day in Santo Domingo the whole squad got an off day to go to the beach. It was beautiful!!!!

Then the next day, four of our teams headed off to Haiti for the month. The other 7 of us teams headed to San Juan in the DR. Next month we will all switch so team Transformers will be in Haiti in August :]

And like I said I have 45 roommates, that’s a first! All 7 teams are staying together in ONE house, but will be doing different ministries. We are in what is considered the richest neighborhood of the city and yet still back home we have way more luxuries that we take for granted… like running water, electricity, a washer a dryer, American toilets, a microwave, even water pressure. We truly are so blessed in the US.
We will be meeting our contact on Tuesday, yayy!! As of right now we were told we will be doing primarily evangelism and preaching with a ministry or neighborhood called Guachupita. This ministry is mostly church planting and very relationally based. So we could be doing anything from sports to teaching English, VBS, home visits, block parties, preaching and just outreach.

Our first full day in San Juan we had an Ask the Lord day. We ended up playing baseball with a ton of little boys. It was super fun!! Already, I can tell the people here are way friendlier than in San Domingo. It was hard being a girl walking down the street there, because the men are so aggressive and stare you can’t really talk or smile to them. That is not me at all so I’m glad here we can say hola and talk to those we pass and it feel safe here in San Juan.

I’m super excited to begin our ministry!!!!

Everyday I wake up trying to stay in honor of the Lord and put my armor on. I’m quickly already learning a whole new way of life. Not only living in community, but also developing a new heart of praise and prayer and way of life that God is attracted too.
Pray for all of us here, our heath, our teams, living in small quarters together, staying in the Word and just that our hearts and minds are running towards the Lord in all we do. This is only the beginning!

And for you guys, I’m trying to not get on my email much. Well one it’s hard with almost 50 people, but for a lot of other personal reasons I really feel God calling me to stay away. So my blogs will be the best way to keep up and don’t be upset if I don’t email you guys much. Ya’lls encouragement is so needed, thank you all for that and your prayers. Love you mom, nanny, pawpaw, nick, dad, izzie, abbey, dan’s fam, and of course you dmoney 😀 missyoumas. keep team GLOW in your prayers too, I believe they are in Romania now already! Love you guys!!!

(oh and I had pics to post, but they won’t upload. the connection is too slow)
