My heart has been stolen… :]
His name is Taphael and he is 7.
Jesus shines out of this little boy is all he does. Everyday the second I would walk into the church/orphanage there was Taphael with the biggest smile on his face that never ever disappeared. Seeing him makes my heart melt. He is one of Pepe’s children, Pepe is the Haitian in charge of all the houses we build. Taphael would come with us to help build, was always eating a popsicle thingy, played futbol with us, makes lotas silly faces, counts with me and would sing at church with me! He also loooves loves to sing the World Cup Wavin’ Flag song with Shannon and I.

Shannon, Taphael, Pepe and me! ^^
So, one day I was craving kanip… which is a type of fruit we don’t have in the US, but it is basically like a healthy jolly rancher. it is delicious. yummm. Well I asked Taphael to find me some off of a tree and he couldn’t so from then on the rest of the time there he went around always telling me “NO kanip!” but then one day during soccer he found me one!! see:

I asked him if he knew the Soldier Boy dance one day and he shook his head yes, but then began to sing “Yes Lord, Yes Lord, Yes, Yes, Lord!” hehe oh gotta love the language barrier… and he is just like his daddy always says “merci” to us.
He is the sweetest most lovable little boy I have met. His heart is full of Jesus. He is so innocent and kind to others. Whenever he was near me whatever worry or distraction that was on my mind would just disappear and I immediately could feel so much peace. I know God brought me to Haiti to meet His precious child. I miss seeing his face everyday :[
join me in praying for this little dude.
