Hey supporters!!! Like the new World Race website look?? hoek, I feel weird asking for this need, buuut I’ve talked with mi familia, loved ones and my community group and they all agree this is a definite need. so here it is…
I need to get the Rabies shot vaccination.
This was the only shot I didn’t get because it is a series of 3 shots at $250 a piece. ekk!! that’s a whole lotta money that I don’t have :[ Most racers don’t get it, but everyone agees that knowing me I won’t be able to stay away from all the sick abandoned animals we’ll being seeing :[ :[ I wish I could say I would be able too.
Here is the danger in not getting the 3 shots before: If I DO get them, and get bit by a rabid animal then the next rabies shots ARE available in 3rd world countries. However, if I DON’T get the 3 shots before hand, those are NOT available in 3rd world countries because they are too expensive so I would have to be care flighted back to the US and with Rabies you have very little time before it is no longer curable and becomes deadly… yeah that pretty much stinks.
As long as I start to get the series by early June, I’ll be good. So if you don’t mind passing the word along I would appreciate it mas. Thanks guys!!!! And thank you all so much for your prayers for my team, fund raising and the people in the countries so far 😀
OH and if you do want to help, sadly the donation will not be tax deductible because the money would go directly to me, not through AIM. sorry for this! We cannot raise donations for vaccinations through them.

UPDATE: I’ve been blessed to already get my pack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent, and my other shots so far and to be able to fly for cheap stand-by to training camp :] I’ve just got small things here and there to get, my health insurance still to purchase, my medicine and to figure out my school loans then I’m set. And as for fund raising I am at $10,000! Only $4,000 left to go!!!!
