it’s official! My last day in Dallas will be June 30th. and then I fly out of Fort Lauderdale bright and early on July 4th to The Dominican Republic!!! I’ll be there a couple of days with the whole P squad and then our teams will head off to Haiti to begin our ministry work :]
My last day of work is this Thursday… so weird. Then I’m moving outta my apartment and before I know it I will be on the beach with miss Kimberly Kaim a couple days before we head out! The last couple of days have been really tough, but good. Dan left Sunday morning and that has be super hard but peaceful. We’ll get to see each other in Ireland in September for 3 days and thats it for the whole next year. I’ve really begun to learn how to listen and wait upon the Lord. To truly feel His peace and the idea of doing and going through all of this for HIS Kingdom is so exciting to me!!!!! I can’t explain it. The things I will see and do all being His light, wow?!
Dan is doing awesome!! He leaves for Ukraine tomorrow night out of NYC and then meets up with his team GLOW there! His awesomeness so far has been such an encouragement. Be praying for their safety as everyone is flying from different states, for saying goodbyes and leaving life as they know it now for the unknown, prayers for leadership and mostly prayers for those whose lives will be changed by the glory of God!!!!!
Seeing him say goodbye to his family made this even all more real. It is going to be a lot harder than I thought. but in that I see how blessed I am to have everyone who loves me and the overwhelming support and encouragement I have. It is bittersweet. It is not a goodbye. but a new beginning. a new adventure. Thank you to all who have in so many ways, big and small, been a part of the journey that got me here today.
annnd now Abbey is trying to type, silly cat… so night night it is!!
**My good friend Auston Copeland is on his 6th month of the race in Kenya right now. He needs $2,500 more, I believe, by the end of the month to stay out on the field, consider helping him!! He has been doing some amazing things through the hands of God, go check out his blog to see.
