As of this morning I am at $2,075!!!! Thank you so much to those who have been so generous to me! Thank yous will be sent when I return to the U.S. I am so blessed by your gifts!!

Today is day two of my four-day trip in Israel! I am currently sitting at this lovely bed and breakfast in Be’er Sheva waiting for my mom to wake up so we can go to Jerusalem. I am writing this on a phone so I can’t upload pictures unfortunately.

My family and I came to see my oldest brother David graduate from med school (he’s been studying in Be’er Sheva for the past four years.)

The ceremony was last night and I was really proud of my brother. He sang an Arabic and Hebrew song and played the oud for the ceremony. While studying medicine, David learned Hebrew and Arabic fluently as well as learned to play the oud.

This trip has inspired me to work hard to learn about the 11 different countries I will be going to. When I return to the U.S. it will be about 11 weeks. I’d like to devote one week per country learning about the cultures and helpful phrases. I’d like to write a blog series about my research of each country each week.
