This blog is much overdue, but I would like to tell you all about what re-entry has been like and what my plans are for the near future.
It is great to be back in America! My first two weeks back I was able to meet with family, friends and supporters, go to the beach, and work for my dad’s business cleaning houses.
Week three, I drove up to Gainesville, GA for Project Searchlight, which is basically a conference for re-entry from the World Race. It was amazing and inspired many plans for the future.
This September, I will be doing a four-month apprenticeship with Adventures in Missions (the World Race parent organization.) I will be learning more about God’s calling for my life and strengthening the gifts God has given me for building his kingdom here on earth. My focus will be long-term missions and activation. The Long-Term Missions track will help prepare me for the great challenges which a missionary often faces, and the Activation Track focuses on organizational problem-solving skills through projects and leadership development.
This apprenticeship will help me better define my future ministry. I do feel called to full-time ministry, and God has given me a heart for missions, but I do feel led to train for what God will use me for next. If you feel led to partner with me through this process, I must raise $3,950 which will cover housing, food and classes for the semester. I have already raised $1,467, and only have to raise $508 to reach my first deadline which is September 12th. You can give by clicking the “Support Me!” tab on the left of my blog. Your gift and prayers are so appreciated!
Thank you for all of your support and God bless!
Stephanie
