Back on American soil.

My stomach is filled with a wonderful Chili’s salad, compliments of a good friend. The air condition is working so well I am considering busting into my pack to find clothes and change into something warmer. It is clean and I can once again flush toilet paper, although I haven’t yet. It just seems wrong.

In a stroke of humor this morning, my seat out of Haiti was just across the aisle from a missionary who is going to Ukraine in a few weeks, to some little countryside village to help build. Really though… what are the chances of being on a plane with a missionary leaving Haiti and heading to Ukraine. It just makes me laugh.

The other guy was from USAID. He had flown into Port-Au-Prince the day before the earthquake and was headed home for a vacation. A long-awaited, much needed vacation he said.

…and two Buddhist monks just walked by me…

Have I said lately how much I love my life?

Also as a praise report, I have received about $250 in the past week toward my Ukraine trip! I still need about $2,800 in the next two weeks.

Just wanted to give a quick update. I am going to go change clothes and get rid of this luggage for a few hours.
