After a couple of weeks of no communication, I realized some of you may be wondering if I dropped off the earth suddenly. No fears I am alive and well and preparing to leave.
To backtrack a bit:
The dinner theatre went well. My team leader, Teri, drove down from NC and helped out, which was not only fun but a huge blessing. I heard the food was good (I was too nervous to eat) and everyone enjoyed the play (I was in the nursery trying not to lose my lunch). For someone with a communication degree, public speaking still does me in! All in all I raised about $800!
Apparently I talked myself into voicelessness though because for the next 3 days my voice went MIA, which I’m sure more people enjoyed than will admit.
The past week has been filled with little sleep and lots of laughter and tears. I turned over my keys and credit card at work, had to get entirely too many shots at once, attended several parties, said goodbye to my church family, packed everything in my Escape and had to say “see ya later” to my roommate. It’s been a bittersweet week. One I would expound on but then I’d end up a snotty, tearful mess all over again so I’ll save that for later.
