I know you just started reading this, but stop and think for a minute…
Where do you find your value?
Where does your worth come from?
Who does your worth and value come from?
The world likes to tell us we are worthy or unworthy based on our education, our job, our financial stability, whether or not we have a spouse or children, if we have it all together, and on and on.
It is often easy to listen to what we were taught growing up. That may be that we have value because we are smart, because we are beautiful/handsome, because we were taught God created us and values us. That may also be that we are not worthy because of some mistake we made, because we are not smart, because we have failed to meet expectations.
NOTHING anyone says, no matter how negative OR how positive it is, in regards to your worth is of ANY authority in your life. The ONLY one who has authority in our lives and gets to decide that we ARE in fact worthy and have value is God.
God has authority over our value.
God created us in HIS image. He created us out of love. He created us as valuable and worthy of care and love.
Think about it…
The God of the universe, created us all at different times. He didn’t just create us all as once on an assembly line. He created us throughout time, along a timeline, to each serve a purpose during a different time. He created you uniquely as you. He created you with a High Purpose, and He was creative in creating you. How awesome is that?
No matter what anyone else tells you today, tomorrow, from here on out…the God of the Universe who created you says YOU ARE VALUABLE AND WORTHY AND LOVABLE!
I am giving God back the authority over my value. Will you?
