Hello family and friends!
I want to announce what God has called me to do in my life next! I am squad leading another World Race route starting January 2017!! I will lead the Fusion 3 squad and am very excited for the new vision for this route! Fusion 3 will not follow the normal routine the other World Race squads follow.
What will be different about the Fusion 3 route?
Normally, a World Race squad receives daily instructions from the host organization in each country; manual labor, teaching english, preaching, kids programs, home visits and much more. Fusion 3 will not be given daily tasks from the host organization. Fusion 3 will obtain their daily instructions from God.Fusion 3 will sometimes get a host in a country but sometimes will start on their own without a host and see where God leads.
Why are we doing this?
We want them to learn how to hear the voice of God and rely on God for their direction in life. We want them to find where God is working in each country and join Him in what He is already doing. With this flexibility we will be able to meet new people and go where God has called us to serve those who would not normally be noticed. We want to be available for the community in whatever capacity they need.
What will this look like?
It will look different in every country and with every team. The teams will need to go to God every day for direction. They will need to explore, pray along the streets and meet people that God puts in their path. They might end up praying all day, sitting with the homeless, feeding kids on the street, or talking with new friends. In whatever they do, they will be presenting God’s love to everyone they come across.
Why am I excited?
We expect God to do big things through this squad! I am most excited for the impact this will have on the Fusion participants themselves! I am eager to see them grow in their ability to hear from the Holy Spirit and learn to be obedient even in the seemingly insignificant tasks. The World Race program strives to grow young leaders for Christ who will spread the Kingdom of God beyond their 11 months on the field but for the rest of their lives!
