I am in Malaysia and loving it! We started the beginning of the month with a debrief. For this debrief our goal as a leadership team was to refocus the squad. We felt that the squad was too focused on trying to find ‘ministry hosts’ as in an organization that would give them ‘ministry type’ things to do.  But that isn’t the heart behind this year for Fusion. The heart is ‘if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts’. The heart is to go out and listen to God and let Him show us people who need to be ministered too. We were able to refocus them to search every day for people to share the gospel with, to love and serve them in anyway they can. So far the effects from that refocus has been really good!

(Squad at debrief. Love them!)

The team I was with the past few weeks has had open doors to share the gospel many many times! It has been incredible! The difference from the first three months is that sharing the gospel has been on the forefront of their minds. They are no longer distracted by trying to find something good to do ourselves and tasks. We have been allowing God to bring people along our path and seeking out conversations for Jesus.

(Prayer walking in the National Mosque and making friends. This is Marie she’s from Pakistan. Marie and I are still chatting online even today! Praying for further connection with her.)

One of the first days after debrief. I was with the part of the team in a coffee shop. We had done errands and shopping that day. We were waiting for one of our teammates who was getting a hair cut. I hear the Spirit ask me, “how do you find Kingdom in this?” So I asked the team, “how do we seek the Kingdom of God even in errands? In every day life things?” We started talking about it; praying the Holy Spirit’s presence into places, praying for people we see, starting conversations, praising God for all the beauty we see, etc… Meanwhile what we didn’t know was our teammate was sharing the gospel with her hair cutter. Her hair cutter had never heard the name of Jesus Christ before and was so intrigued by what was shared to her. She said that as she heard she got chills all down her body. The Holy Spirit got her attention!! Since then they have stayed in contact and she understand and knows that Jesus died for her and loves her!

This past week was also the first time I shared the gospel to someone who had never heard the name of Jesus Christ before! We have shared with two people like that and it blows my mind that someone could not even know his name. Wow! Praising Jesus for sending us all the way around the world just for those convos!

(This is E! She is a tourist from China. I got to share the gospel to her for the first time! In this picture we are getting Mandarin on a Bible app so she can read scripture for the first time! Prayers for E please!)

We have been traveling with other travelers and have shared the gospel with many westerners as well. I find that those who travel are often searching for more in their life and we can get into really great conversations with them about the meaning of life. I can tell that the Holy Spirit is definitely stirring. People do want to have conversations, not arguments but discussions. Its been so much fun! God is good.

(We have had the blessing to travel with Fara and Nathan (back) for over a week. We were able to share about Jesus and many of our testimonies in that time. We also had a good time praying over Fara before we split. Praying for these two wonderful people to know Christ!)

Thanks for reading!… Until next time! 😀
