Hello Family and Friends!

I am currently in Thailand finishing out my last few weeks on the field with the Fusion 3 squad! I have been so blessed by these 20 amazing individuals who are seeking the Kingdom of God all over the world.

(The beauty of Thailand is unreal! So many times this month I have been in awe at God’s creation.)

We started this month with a Leadership Development Weekend (LDW) for the entire squad. LDW focus on encouraging and equipping each individual to be a leader for Christ within their own community. The squad had a great time digging into the Word to learn about Godly leadership, victim mentality, and spiritual gifts. We experienced God through new ways during our worship, prayer sessions, as well as a time for the squad to share all that God has been teaching them. We ended LDW with an extra special treat by watching one of our squad mates get baptized for the first time!

(Squad watching Matt’s baptism after an awesome time of worship at the Penang House of Prayer in Penang, Malaysia.)

At LDW we announced our new squad leaders! (The people that take my job when I leave!) I am so excited the Lord lead Kylee (USA) and Melo (France) to take on the responsibility as Squad Leader (SQL) for the rest of the year. We all got to spend great time together during SQL training the first week of Thailand.

(Training team with Kylee and Melo.)

(Put the new squad leaders skill’s to the test with a pretty difficult hike to a beautiful lagoon and view point near Railay Beach, Thailand. Bonding day for all the SQLs!)

After training, we joined team Braveheart in Phuket, Thailand. Team Braveheart has been working with a missionary couple who focus on church planting and bar ministry. We spent our past few weeks in Thailand praying for those who come to this beautiful country not only for it’s beauty, but for the ‘fulfillment’ of self it also tries to offer (sex, drugs, alcohol, and party.) Most people describes Phuket as crazy and dark but we were reminded to proclaim that Jesus is already victorious in this city and to reclaim HIS authority in that area.

One night, God lead us to make signs that said, “I will listen”, “Your story matters”, and “Free prayer” and stand on the craziest bar street in Patong Beach, Phuket. Our goal was to listen, to love, to encourage, and to pray. We prepared by doing a prayer walk that day throughout the street we would later be standing. We prayed for open hearts and break throughs for the individuals we would come in contact with. God showed up big time! People were very receptive of our presence and many many people came up to talk to us and ask us why we were doing this. We prayed for some people who had never prayed before. One guy even asked, ‘what just happened? I feel different.’ When asked what he felt he said, ‘…like someone cares.’

AMEN! Because someone does care. Someone cares about each and every individual on this planet. His name is Jesus Christ the Son of God and he LOVES you!

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-38
