I don’t know about you guys, but I am sure experiencing “information” overload right now.
I don’t know if information is the best word to use, but for lack of a better one at this point, I’ll go with it.
This is not a bad thing, in fact, I am the one searching it out…my spirit is hungry to be fed like never before.
It is exciting and exhausting at the same time.

Input Overload? As I have been fasting, the Lord has been increasing my thirst for Him and hunger for His word.
So through reading the bible and other books, doing ALP, copying church sermons, WR conference calls, building new relationships and strengthening existing ones,
and living life (full of hopes, frustrations, disappointments, joys) –
I have been downloading “information”….but I feel like that is all it is if I do not let it sink in.
How can this information turn into knowledge and wisdom and kingdom fruit if I do not debrief what I am ingesting?
I must keep this newly gained information alive within me – meditating on it, journaling about it, talking about it, applying it to my life.

I have led numerous mission trips before, all which include debriefing.
I know that this is a crucial step in the learning process.
It seems to unlock the door between the head and the heart.
The information is allowed to sink into the very being of the individual, thus leading to a transformed mindset/attitude/understanding/self.
Debriefing also draws the information/experience out of the individual and into the world – thus allowing others to learn and grow in their faith also.

As I head to team training, it is my prayer that each one of us holds ourselves and each other accountable for not just downloading information (as I have a feeling we are going to be receiving some incredible teaching) but, for positioning ourselves before the Lord in such a way that invites true transformation.
Don’t get me wrong, I think that information is great, but kept to oneself, it does little to benefit the Kingdom, but a transformed mind and spirit, now that is a powerful testimony that cannot help but draw attention to our Creator.

Romans 12:2 says “No longer conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, it is then that you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will”.
I pray that as we go into training, that our minds would be fertile ground that is ready to be transformed and renewed.
