Today is our last night in Thailand. Tomorrow we fly to Hong Kong and a few days later we enter China. Because China is a closed country to the Gospel, we will be lying low on blogging and e-mail. There is a chance that I may be able to post a couple of blogs with the help of someone back in the states, but they will be few and far between. Names and locations will be kept on the down low in order to protect our ministry contacts and The World Race. If you do e-mail, please omit any “churchy” words as internet is closely monitered.
I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and serve all throughout China. Around the 12th of Nov. we will be returning to Hong Kong for our final week of the race!
Before I sign off for a while, I want to share a few more pictures from our last days in Phnom Penh. It was incredible to see how God interwove all components our of ministry and connected fellow Cambodians!

The kids at the Orphanage singing their good-byes.

Chorrnay and Ouna, two of the girls we discipled at the church. Niether of their families are Christain and they are often pressured by their parents to stop coming to church. Please pray that they will continue to persevere in the face of opposition.

For the last two weeks, the girls were able to accompany us to the orphanage. They fell in love with the kids and hope to be able to continue spending time at the center. Connecting fellow Cambodians is key to long-lasting discipleship relationships.

My English class. We taught them about the importance of loving your neighbor. It took awhile to explain to them that ‘your neighbor’ is not just your neighbor next door, but everyone around you – even those you do not know. We also shared about the orphanage and how God loves the orphans.

So, we are called to love our neighbor, the orphan, as we love ourselves.

So, we had our English class write letters to the kids in the orphanage. A few of my favorite sentences were “I love you lovely neighbor” and “I love you orphan”! Using those new vocab words…

Some of my favorite boys at the orphanage. They have a way of wiggling themselves in to your heart and then they just camp out there! It’s crazy. Please continue to pray for the kids…and me!
Next week, as we head to China, a different world race team (Ignite – a sept. team) will be returning to these same ministries – both working with the church and the orphanage. So tune into their blogs to read more!
