“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matt. 24:14
I took this picture yesterday when I was driving through Emmetsburg, IA. It struck me as a perfect symbol of the World Race: eager individuals ready to spread the Gospel throughout the World!

As Paul was on his missionary journeys he prayed for the people he would encounter and for churches he had already established. The following verses Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica as a thanksgiving for their faith. Think of the picture above as an active prayer for those we (world racers) are going to meet on our missionary journey.
“…but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel (2b)…We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. (8)…For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory. (11,12) – Thess. 2
