It´s not fair that families with little kids cannot sleep because they are afraid their house is going to fall in on them during the night while many of us have multiple houses all over the world.

It´s not fair that the majority of the world lives on beans and rice while some of us stand in front of a full refrigerator complaining there is nothing to eat…

It´s not fair that people need to live on dirt floors alongside their animals while many of us complain when our dog pees on the carpet…

It´s not fair that people need to make a living by sorting through trash while thousands of us spent our days in air conditioned, sterile offices…

It´s not fair that a mom loses a baby to pneumonia because she can not afford medication or pills while we have medicine cabinets at home full of “just in case pills”…
Life is not fair. Praise the Lord. If life was fair, each of us would be condemned to an eternity in hell. I know that it´s a bit blatent, but it´s the truth. It´s not fair that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. He was perfect. It´s not fair that as a daughter of God I am seen as pure and sinless. It´s not fair that I get to spend eternity in heaven.
God is just. He is faithful. He is God of the world. He created the world – in fact, He holds the whole world in his hands. He sees all. He loves all and desires all to love him. He calls each of us to reach out with that same kind of love. To give of ourselves – to give our energy, our time, our passions, our desires, our money, our hopes and dreams. To be compelled by love. To help our neighbor who is in need.
Life is not fair. And for that, I am grateful.
