This week in Jerusalen, our team has had some slow and laid back days. Due to sickness of the local pastor, we have kind of been on our own to figure out ministry oppurtunities and how to fill our days. We have been spending a lot of time praying over the village, the church and the people. God has used this week to teach me a lot about prayer and the effectiveness of His Spirit, even when we do not have any ´practical´ way to contribute. It has been an experience in faith to trust that God is working through our presence there.
Communication between us and the family with which we are staying is improving daily. We have Spanish lessons at the dinner table and I am perfecting the talent of charades.
Tomorrow we head back to Jerusalen, hopefully to a more active week. Our plan is to do some children´s programs, such as a carnival-type fiesta and backyard Bible School.
God has used this time to bring our team closer through sharing our stories and team prayer. Again, to see pics of where we are and the people of the village, visit
Jen Crane´s blog.
Please pray that God will continue to use our time there and to increase our effectiveness in the next week.
