Team Luminous began the year as a family of six, and we
intend to keep it that way.. Ya’ll already know how fond I am of my sister Mel,
and how much she’s grown and contributed to my own growth so far.  If you don’t know, then clearly you haven’t been reading my blogs, hers or the rest of Team Lum’s (which is a problem for another day, grrrr.  haha jk).  I can’t imagine the next few months of Africa
and Eastern Europe without her.  Well, when
forced to imagine it, I see my dirty laundry piling up (she always does it for
the team), Steph-less photos (I know it sounds self-centered, but she’s
thoughtful by taking pictures for me and of me), kids without a human
teddy bear with open arms, team worship without a beautiful voice, and our “Set
Me Free” drama without the lead girl (Mel plays the part of the tormented girl
too well to be replaced).  So let’s not
make me go on w/ the imagination, please.

So one of H Squad’s sisters – specifically Melissa Betz, a vital member of team Lum – is in need of additional financial support to finish off the Race with us.. She took a leap of faith and abandoned her life in Canada for a year of falling in love with God and His people/  She’s not done and God’s not done with her.

That being said…. WE NEED YOU!!!  Calling all family, friends, supporters young and old..

no, that’s not Mel making threats to throw a punch… altho she’s been quite the fighter this year and she bears a striking resemblance to the poster girl, bandana, high cheekbones, raised eyebrow and all.  I digress!)

Here’s what you can do – PLEASE prayerfully
consider helping a sister out.
Monthly support
and one time donations certainly would be GREATLY appreciated!  You can send checks to the AIM
offices (6000 Wellspring Trail, Gainesville, GA 30506) ,
with Melissa Betz’s name and WR Jan 09 in the memo line.  You can also donate online (one-time, monthly, etc.) via credit card if you go to Mel’s blog and click Support Melissa on the left side.  Again, PLEASE
consider this… it means a lot to Mel, Team Luminous and H Squad.
Please check out Mel’s blog for more.

Praise God for His amazing, faithful provisions for other squadmates
who were in need and are now well on their way to being fully
supported.  We as a body are blessed to be able to lean on each other for help.  I know He will also provide in Mel’s case, but you have a huge hand in it.  Thank you soo much for how you’ve supported me personally and for taking time to consider supporting another part of the body.

Teama Luminous – like fine china, we’re a complete set of teacups and saucers.. let’s keep it that way.

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.  For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body-whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free-and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.  Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.” 1 Corinthians 12:12:-14
