It's been 60 days we've been on the Race, and 60 days of living, supporting, and encouraging each other on our team! Some days are better or worse than others, but through it all we have decided to be there for each other and place God at the centre, and we have found that has been enough to help us love each other despite what we have faced so far.
Here is a little video Brooke made in tribute to our "community".
And here is a lovely poem that Corinna found that speaks the heart of what we hope to be to each other…
Sister, let me be your servant,
Let me be as Christ to you.
Pray that I may have the grace to
Let you be my servant, too.
We are pilgrims on a journey,
And companions on the road.
We are here to help each other
Walk the mile and bear the load.
I will hold the Christ-light for you
In the night-time of your fear.
I will hold my hand out to you,
Speak the peace you long to hear.
I will weep when you are weeping;
When you laugh I'll laugh with you.
I will share your joy and sorrow,
'Til we've seen this journey through.
When we sing to God in heaven,
We shall find such harmony,
Born of all we've known together
Of Christ's love and agony.
Sister, let me be your servant,
Let me be as Christ to you.
Pray that I may have the grace to
Let you be my servant too.
Happy 60 days, Team Sozo!!!!!
P.S. My teammate Corinna (who found the poem) still needs $6,000 by October 1st in order to continue the Race! We don't want to see her go home! Please read here about her heart for the Lord and for the people on the Race, and if you feel led to support her you can do so through her blog on the left-hand bar. Thank you so much for all your blessings to us!
