Dear friends,
I am excited as my departure date draws near…first I will leave Vancouver on July 4th to visit my cousin in San Francisco, and then arriving on July 11th at JFK airport (NY) to meet the rest of my squad! From then on, we will head to Romania, our first country. Thank you for keeping me in your prayers as I continue to pack and prepare myself in these last few days!
The last month at home since Training Camp has been a quiet but eventful one. I started reading a few books and tried to pick up some guitar too – hopefully I'll get good enough to play a few worship songs on the Race! I also had a chance to meet up with many friends and talk about the Race, and was encouraged by their interest and support.
In terms of financial support, I am so blessed – I only have $2,300 left to go before I am fully funded!! =) Really praise God for His Provision and for His people who have been so generous. I am so thankful for all your support.
One other way you can support me is by supporting others on my team or squad. One thing we learned at Training Camp was how important it is to be united and to rely on each other's strengths as a family. You can visit "Better to Give than Receive", created by my teammate Val, to see some of the needs of my other squadmates, including my teammate Olivia Haughey, who still needs $9,000 to be fully funded.
Once again, thank you for your prayer and support! I can't wait to soon start the journey with my squad to live out Jesus's Love in Romania!
