After around 9 hours of flight time, X-Squad finally arrived in Bucharest, Romania!!
Garrett and Lauren, our Squad Leaders, were there to meet us and take us to Happy Hostel. All 45 of us plus 2 Squad Leaders have taken over the place. Danny, one of the caretakers, says we're the biggest group he's ever seen there.
Currency in Romania: lei (3-4 leis per US dollar)
Language: Romanian; so far about 1 in 5 people we met knew English
It was great to see everyone again after separating for a month since Training Camp. The teams also underwent a bit of reshuffling due to 2 squad members who felt called away from the Race, and 1 member who is leaving on a later Race. Due to this, Team Sozo now has a new team member: Corinna Gallagher.
Savannah Rowland has now joined one of the other teams.
Until July 16th, we will be having team-bonding, a team project, and preparing for our ministry site in Bulgaria.
