This past week our team has been in Kitale, Kenya. Our ministry so far has consisted of helping with construction of a church building. Our team loaded and unloaded bricks, chopped weeds, and hoed the soil in preparation for further construction. We saw how the bricks were made out of clay – now we can really relate to the story of Moses in the Bible, where the Israelites were forced to make clay bricks all day for the Egyptians!
Last Sunday, we had the privilege of joining the Kwanza New Life Church for morning service. I was blown away by the praise and worship there! The Kenyans sung and danced in a way that made me feel happy to be alive. I felt that I truly wanted to rejoice in the salvation the Lord has given me and thank Him for the life that He gave me!
