Hey friends!

Can’t believe it’s been about a year since I posted a blog! Last year at this time I was preparing to lead a three month trip to Africa with college-aged students, called Passport.  It was such a great trip! I loved the students, couldn’t have asked for better co-leaders, and God did such big things on the field through the team!

Fast forward to what’s going on in my life now—

For those who don’t know, I currently work for Adventures in Missions (AIM) which is the organization that sends out the World Race, Passport, and other mission trips throughout the year.  I work in the Donor Relations department which basically means I’m the middle man between donors and our accounting department. A big part of my job is thanking donors, which I love to do!

Working at Adventures has been great because I can work in my strengths behind the scenes of these trips, but I also get to be involved in the heart of our organization: discipleship and sending out missionaries.  A few weeks ago I was able to help train a World Race squad who are launching into their own race journey in about three weeks.

I have recently been given the opportunity to help lead a Parent Vision Trip (PVT) with World Race parents at the end of September. This trip allows parents the chance to experience the life of their racer for a week on the field. These racers will be in Chiang Mai, Thailand for their 8th month. The parents will come alongside their racer in ministry, learning the culture, and spending some overdue quality time with them!

This will be my second time in Chiang Mai. The first time was my Month 5. I’m excited to go back. We will be partnering with the ministry I partnered with on my race, Lighthouse in Action. The ministry is mainly in the bars at night, but during the day we’ll also be working with children living in the slums and teaching English. I’m eager to take what I’ve learned and how I’ve grown in these past couple of years back to the field. I’m looking forward to seeing the racers. I’m looking forward to being a part of the parents’ experience on what a week on the mission field looks like. At the office, we hear numerous stories of how parents’ lives are changed after just a week on a PVT!

Please join me in prayer NOW for this trip. I’ve already been praying and know that God’s going to show up in a big way. The only financial responsibility I have for this trip is my plane ticket which is $1900. I am looking for financial partners to help me get there. If you feel led to donate to my trip, click here. [You can also donate by check or cash. Contact me for the info.]  And yes,it is tax deductible!

Thank y’all so much for continuing to follow and support me for the past three years!

Love,

Steph
