Hi, I'm Stephanie, and I am from the fire hydrant capital of the world  – Albertville, Alabama.  I went to college at the University of Mobile where I majored in Music and minored in Theology.  Go Rams!  After graduation, I moved to cajun country to attend graduate school at Louisiana State University.  But don't worry!  I'm still a Bama girl at heart.  I graduated in 2012 with a master's degree in piano pedagogy and have since stayed in Baton Rouge to teach piano.  Music is a vital part of this world, and I love teaching it to everyone who is willing to learn.

I have also had the great privilige of working at Winshape Camps for 5 summers.  During my time there, I grew so much in my relationship with the Lord, learned how to serve, love, and lead, and met wonderful people who were so instrumental in that growing process.  I am definitely a camp girl who is unashamed to wear socks with Chacos or sing in public places.

The younger generation is my passion.  I have absolutely loved every single one of my students and campers.  Children are the leaders of tomorrow, and I love being instrumental in shaping who they will become.

Ever since I can remember, I have loved the thought of traveling and experiencing the world.  I am blown away by God's providence in leading me to this next chapter of my life – the World Race.  Two years ago, I had never even heard of the race, and two months ago, I would have said going on the race would be a nice thought for the distant future – not the future for 2013.  God's timing is far from my own, and his is perfect.  As I step into the unknown, I feel like Abraham following the Lord into the wilderness.  Only God knows where the Race will take me and what the next chapter after the Race will hold.

'By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going." – Hebrews 11:8
