Skinny. Sick. Imperfect. Striving. Wants acceptance. Never good enough. Too fat. Too skinny. Cant eat. Lies. Will never make it. Uncomfortable in her own skin. Ashamed to look in the mirror. A diet is needed. Ugly. Trying to please everyone. Never happy.
Fat Ugly Fat Ugly Fat Ugly Fat Ugly Fat Ugly the only words she heard in her head.
MUST LOOSE WEIGHT.. BE SKINNY AND BEAUTIFUL!!!
She was 15 years old and living a life of lies, trying to please others but never good enough. She tried to fit everyone’s standards, modeling agencies, pageant judges, cheer coaches, peers, and media but they all
had a different idea of what perfect was and who she needed to be. She was told her teeth were out of line, she was to old, she needed liposuction, her skin was ruined, she was too big, she was too skinny, she needed to be taller, her feet were too big, she didn’t have the right measurements, she had too much muscles, she needed more makeup, she needed less, she should wear her hair up, she should wear more green, she should wear less green more blue, she didn’t have what they were looking for, she shouldn’t eat that, she doesn’t have the right walk or smile.
You may read this and think I am talking about the girl that I met, however that girl I am talking about above was me, and it was all the lies I heard when I was 15 and in the modeling and pageantry industry. Its lies that girls in the industry hear every day lies that the girl i met head but lies that they believe to be true and beat themselves up daily for it.
