WORSHiP

So it has been two weeks since training camp, and one of the many things that stand out to me is worship. Before training camp worship was something I did, I liked it, I looked forward to it in church and I even would sing along with K-love on the radio. Sometimes id raise my hands and id dance around, I was more worried about what was going on around me though, who was walking in 30 minutes late and who I would see.

For the first half of training camp we were blessed by an amazing artist Jonathan David Helser, his wife Melissa, band mates and college age students following them growing deeper in their walk with Christ for the summer. Let me remind you I come from a church where we have a huge worship band and an even bigger congregation but worship was your typical follow along with the words. Never have I experienced worship in this way.

A NEW LOOK

We are dancing and rejoicing over a God that rejoices over us, a God who is in Heaven dancing over us. He isn’t a God who wants us to be silent neither is he a God who is worth being silent over. He wants us to rejoices, cry out to him, and sing praises at the top of our lungs to him. He is rejoicing over us with His angels they are celebrating in Heaven singing loud and I don’t want to wait till Heaven to take part in that, I want it now!

Let us rejoice in how mighty andpowerful He is, in His fullness, forgiveness, and love for us. Let us rejoice because He took our sins to the cross and died for us. He wipes us clean everyday protects us, and deserves more than we give Him!

Let us sing and give praise to God that we actually believe what we are singing, often we get caught up going through the motions and not rejoicing in His abundant grace and mercy for us. We sing because it is natural for us, we stand still because we don’t want to look silly or break out of our comfort zones, break free loved ones we are called to rejoice step forward. Dance around and sing till you have no voice, make fools out of yourselves! Cry to the Lord till your eyes become swollen and puffy. He loves us so much and he just wants to hear our cries of love to Him!

A GENERATION CRYING OUT

I got to spend a week, crying out to the Lord but it won’t just last a week it will last a lifetime, He will hear my cries every day. He wants to hear our cries. Do not think of worship as just some song it is much more ask the 150 some people I spent 10 days with learning this. Worship is the cry of our generation reaching out for more. It is us seeking Gods heart to be broken for what breaks His, a heart for the nations, widows, orphans, to bring HisKingdom all over the world!!! We are crying for help, we are crying because we have been completely broken and we are crying out of love because we were saved, we no longer have to live the life’s we used to! We worship with all our heart with arms raised high to our God, pursuing more of Him and His heart.

WORSHiP TO REMEMBER

I spent nights with my squadmates worshiping for hours and hours dancing, praying and singing till we had no voice. We cried out to the Lord for him to reign down on us,fill us over our heads with His love and mercy and he gave it to us, it started to pour and we worshiped in the rain. He showed us he listens to our cries, He will answer them, and Hislove is an endless ocean we are covered over our heads with it, He is over flowing us with it. We had rushing waters pouring down on us and we cried out to our God and got on our knees, raised our hands, danced around, and let tears of joy run down our faces. I used to not like rain and fear thunder, now it is completely beautiful. Our God is beautiful!

Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to your name. 2 samuel 22:50
