Training camp is over and While I was on my way home I realized I was making a list of everything I learned.
So I thought I'd share.
1. Bug spray doesn't work when ants attack.
2. Neither my pack or day pack are waterproof.
3. The waist band on my pack soaks up about a gallon of water.
4. Buses are by far the most uncomfortable things to sleep in.
5. I absolutely love everyone single person on my squad.
6. Dancing is not my greatest skill.
7. God did major heart surgery this week.
8. God is an awesome listener.
9. God is the ultimate healer.
10. God restored my heart.
11. God showed what love really means.
Before I left for camp I was not excited at all about going on this race. I actually was scared to death.
But God did something in me that I have a really hard time trying to explain. He opened my eyes to see, that he has been chasing me the whole time I was trying to avoid him. I knew God loved me but I never quite understood until this past week.
I have to admit….. I have dreams sometimes about my "crush" at the time or a man in my life the I respect a lot…. Wooing me…… Laugh if you want to, call me crazy if you must, but God has been talking to me in my dreams. I just didn't know it until now!
I have dreams of the perfect man, whom at the time my brain puts in someone I know. The truth of the matter is…… Men are not perfect and I will NEVER find one who can make my "dreams" come true……. BUT the perfect love that I have been longing for my whole life has existed since before the beginning of time.
God knows my heart and how I need to be loved, He knows what makes me tick and what I need to be happy.
I don't know why I never thought of this before, but it's true God really does love and it is completely and totally fulfilling. I don't think I have ever felt so happy and free before in my whole life.
If you would please continue praying for me and my squad mates. God has created some pretty amazing people that I get to be stuck with for the next year of my life. I can't wait to start this journey of community with these awesome people.
