It often doesn’t seem like we are hidden away and sheltered from harm as Christians, but God never said that our lives would be perfect or easy after we decided to follow Him. Quite the opposite actually. Jesus made it very clear that when we made the decision to follow Him, we were pretty much setting ourselves up for a lot of persecution and hardship. What He does promise us though, is that no matter what the circumstances, or how fierce the storms are that rage around us, we will NEVER face them alone. Your heart will always have a safe refuge in Him. He will never let you be so broken that he cannot put the pieces back together again. No matter what life throws at you, your heart will remain safe and whole if you leave it in God’s hands. So trust Him!
