Crux with the rest of G-Squad made it’s way across the Atlantic ocean.  With the sun chasing us, it made for two very LONG days of traveling.

Fortunately we had a 15 hour layover in Boston, Mass. and took the opportunity to enjoy the first time we had been on American soil in 9 months.  Woah!

Coming over on the plane I thought, “What do I really want to do while I’m in America? Do I want to sight see?  Enjoy some Boston culture and cuisine?  Take in the history of the habor?”  And then it came to me.  The materialistic thing I have missed most this whole year, the thing that I have dreamed of and looked forward to that fateful day when I walk through it’s welcoming doors:  Whole Foods.

Some may call it an unhealthy obsession, some may call it an idol, but after 9 months of eating whatever food was available, fresh organic comfort food was the highlight of my American tour.  As I stepped through those automatic doors my nostrils were filled with the scent of fresh produce, and my eyes took in all the organic choices.  I was overwhelmed, not by the sheer size, but by the sheer beauty…I may have teared up a little.  This was definitely a comfort gift from God.  Thank You!!!

We also stopped by Target and stocked up on some missed luxury toiletries and candies you can’t get anywhere else–like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups! 🙂 YUM!!! We topped off our night by going to Texas Roadhouse and enjoyed steak and salmon from an American original chain restaurant.

After another layover in Ft Lauderdale, G-Squad finally made it to Guatamala City and then onto Antigua for debrief after  about 33 total hours of travel.
