So this is a new thing I’m going to start doing on my blog.  If you don’t know, I’m an aspiring photographer wanting to do photojournalism in the mission field.  That’s also why I’m in Georgia.  I’m starting a photography school with the vision to teach missionaries how to use their photos to tell stories and spread God’s Kingdom.

One of the best ways to become a good photographer is to look at the work of others.  So, I have a list of photographers that have long inspired me and that’s what Photo Fridays will be about.  In addition I will also be posting some my own work so you can see my own style.  With that said, enjoy!

About the photographer:  Darla Teagarden is located in my favorite place,  Austin Texas.  A former make-up artist, hair stylist, vintage textile retailer, Caberet performer and model, she uses all of her past skills and experiences in her photography.  Though some of her stuff can be quite dark, I particularly love the early 20th century influence.  She makes all her costumes and backdrops adding to the talent of her photography.  Her work is the epitome of fantasy and make believe…I sometimes wish I could live in her photographs-no seriously.
