Hello!! My name is Stella Gilchrist and I am from Columbus, Ohio. I’m 18 and recently graduated from Bishop Hartley High School. I’m not very good at putting all of these thoughts together cohesively so below you will find many different, unrelated facts about me 🙂
- I love everything about the arts and plan to go college after this year on the Race to study photojournalism and graphic design (typically when I make plans God wrecks them so we’ll see how this goes)
- I have 5 siblings: Kiara (& her husband Ben), Stuart (& his wife Chelsea), Noah, Lydia, & Simon (I’m right in the middle) and they’re the light of my life. Each one of them are completely different and a witness to Christ in their own unique way without even knowing it
- I’ve lived in Columbus my whole life but have traveled quite a bit, especially in these last few years, thanks to my mom who has instilled in me the desire to wander
- I have four tattoos — psalm 139, a pine tree, “I love you” in my dad’s handwriting, and flowers — and plan on getting more as soon as possible 🙂 I love how tattoos can show you exactly what is on someone’s heart
- I have a huge passion for photography and the way it captures one or a thousand emotions in seconds
- I love, love, love reading and writing. Some of my favorites are Rupi Kaur, Alex Elle, and the books A Thousand Splendid Suns and Redeeming Love
- I have the greatest friends in the world, some for 12+ years and others for just 3, but both fill me with so much joy and support and I truly am eternally grateful for them
- I have a huge passion for teen girl-aged ministry and I cannot wait to do it on the Race. Helping a girl see who she is and who she belongs to excites me in way nothing else ever has
- God speaks so clearly through the Bible to me and I’m so excited to grow in knowledge of it this coming year
So that’s a good portion of who I am as of now but keep reading the blog because I’m sure there will be more to come! Thank you so much for joining in this incredible journey with me, prayers are coming your way.
So much love,
Stella
