A few days ago, my team and I were driving home from ministry and reminiscing on the past 4 months – especially these past 2 in Malawi – all of which spent in Africa. Saying that I lived in Africa for 4 months is one of the most insane things to me. I remember being little and dreaming of the day that would come to fruition and now it’s over. Just like that, Africa came and went. To be completely honest, I’ve tried not thinking about the people I left behind since arriving to Ecuador. I don’t want to feel the reality of the fact that I left a chunk of my heart across the ocean. I don’t want to feel the reality of how much my heart aches from missing my sweet Malawian students. They deserve the world, but a blog dedicated to them will have to do. These are just a few of the seventeen that were just faces in January, but changed my life by March.
Falidah, Tapiwa, Benard, Deus, Blessings, Grace, Frolence, Jestina, Florence S., Madalisto, Gift, Chifundo, Florence B., Agginess, Alinafe, Miracle, Effiness: Thank you for beating my heart for the past two months.
To help support these kiddos and to keep them healthy so that they can learn without distraction, my team has created a Go Fund Me to give them snacks twice a week free of cost. We have just $1,400 left to raise! To learn more about this cause and to donate, visit https://www.gofundme.com/let039s-end-hungry-season . Thank you so much!
