Training camp was NOTHING I EXPECTED and EVERTHING I NEEEDED
There continues to be an awareness that we cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results. If we want to be the salt and light, we as the body of Christ have to do things differently. Transformation within a community cannot be found in programs, strategies, and tactics. We need to start building bridges instead of walls, and In order to do so we need to stop EXPECTING and start TRUSTING.
With this awareness in mind, I came to the realization while at training camp that I was in a pattern of surface level thinking when It came to trusting God. I was building walls by EXPECTING Him to show me signs, make something miraculous happen, or even change things that I was struggling with, to prove to me He was real. With Expectations comes disappointment. Let me tell you, God showed up but it was not in the ways I EXPECTED.
I got to witness real healing
I experienced real burning desire to grow closer to God more then I ever have
I saw true community
People bonded on deeper levels in just one week then I have ever seen
Truth was spoken
Chains were broke
We need to let go of our expectations if we expect to build bridges. When we expect things and end up disappointed, we put up walls. That is where Christian consumerism probably came into play. We have lost real and radical faith, and replaced it with something to do on a Sunday, or on religious holidays. With true Faith comes real joy. Expectations are our way of trying to manipulate our own lives, and with those expectations comes a personal hell. Chains can only be broken when we let go and let God.
God is def up to something with I squad and I am beyond excited to see what is in store for this next year. After training, I know without a doubt that God has me on this 11month, 11 country missions trip for a reason and that He is going to do great things through each and every member on our team for the glory of His kingdom and the good of his people in all the nations.

Matthew 28:19, 20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
