If you know me, you know just how much I love BTS and If you didn’t know that, now you do. BTS are a Korean K-pop group that I’ve been a little obsessed with for four years now. I’ve even flown to New York, California, and Texas to see them in concert. Just go look up some of their videos and you’ll see why I like them. Anyway, here in Bangkok, some fans opened up a café dedicate to them and have this giant mural of them made out of Legos. The group even visited the café when it opened and signed the mural. I’ve always wanted to go ever since I saw it but never thought I’d have an opportunity. Well, two days ago, two of my team mates, Caitlin and Ris, decided to come with me to the café and I was so happy! They were so supportive not just of me but of the group too. Ris documented my whole experience on her Instagram from the moment I got in the car, till we left the café. At one point when we were in the café, I looked at both of them and was just so thankful to have them here with me and just being happy because I was happy.
Then the other night, the whole squad had a beautiful moment of being vulnerable and sharing all these deep feelings. When it came my turn to share, all I honestly kept thinking about was, “I’m in Asia.” Yeah it may not be South Korea but I’m still in Asia living the Asian life and I was so thankful. Coming to Asia just never seemed that realistic to me, especially since I never had anyone that would be so willing to go spend $2,000 and more just to come. But here I am, in Asia with 36 other people and best of all, we get to share the love of God with people here in Asia. My heart was just so full sitting in that room in the middle of Bangkok with my whole squad. God made a way for me to come and experience Asia and at the same share about Him. I was just so thankful that I had all these people to share it with me and also Caitlin and Ris to share BTS with.
