Unfortunately, lodging is costing us a lot more than we had budgeted this month, so we’ve had to cut down on how much we can spend on food. We’re actually living on $1.50 a day. Food selection is low and many of us have been worried about how and what we’re going to eat. We prayed that God would provide for us, and as you might guess, He did.

We visited a family who had a baby that was 2 weeks old who was named Sunshine. Sweet story about Sunshine is that when she was about to be born, her head didn’t turn so the doctors said they’d have to perform an emergency C-section. During this time, a team from the June World Race was here in Romania. They heard about Sunshine and went to the hospital immediately to pray from her. Shortly after they had prayed, Sunshine turned her head the right way and the mother was able to deliver her normally, no C-section needed. Cool, huh? My team and I were able to see Sunshine. She is one of the most precious babies I’ve ever laid eyes on!! She’s so incredibly peaceful.

Anyway, back to what I was saying. When we left Sunshine’s house, her father brought out a a large crate and a humungous garbage bag FULL of all sorts of vegetables for us! But these weren’t just normal-sized veggies, they were actually double and triple the size they normally are. No joke. The family said that about a year ago, they were doing really badly with finances, but they started taking missionaries and other guests into their homes. Right after that, God started blessing them with bigger crop than anyone else around them. Their gift to us was their tithe.

I can’t describe our thankfulness and our joy to you. Some of us started crying, some of us were singing, and some of us were just silent in awe. God is so good. He is so faithful. We got such a beautiful glimpse of how much He loves us.

I officially feel like I’m on the World Race now.
