I’m sitting in the cutest coffee shop I’ve been to, in the most beautiful city I’ve ever been to. It’s not a little cafe. It’s actually quite large but the way the room is set up gives it a cozy setting. The walls are painted two shades of pink and there bits of Roman-looking viney wallpaper which has been peeled off in an artful sort of way, giving it an antique look. Random pieces of art and sculpture fill the room. There’s a poetry reading or something going on and I can’t understand a word of it. Just outside the window you can see a gorgeous ancient Roman temple.
The city we’re staying in for two weeks is called Pula. It’s on the coast of Croatia and is more breath-taking than you can imagine any Balkan or European city to be. One of the oldest and best preserved Roman colosseums is located here. You can go anywhere in the city and the Adriatic sea just about a 10-minute walk. Did I mention the sun sets over the sea every night?

As I think I’ve mentioned before, our mission this month has been to find new contacts to send future World Race teams to. Pula has an incredible community of believers. They are so hungry for God’s presence in this city, and their amazing worship times reflect that. Some things they are especially passionate about as we’ve learned is youth and young adult evangelism, foster care and adoption. This church truly is The church and is furthering God’s Kingdom today. We are incredibly blessed to be here, learning so much about God’s love.
We’ll be here until October 24th, and possibly heading to one more city to try and form new relationships for future teams. Please pray for the church here in Pula and in all of Croatia. People here are hungry for God and He is moving in this nation. Also pray for divine connections and favor throughout the rest of the month.
